Descriptive Assignment: Ugly/Revolting

Never before had I experienced such a feeling that gnawed on my flesh like starving leeches at the sight of fresh human meat.  Never before had my pupils mirrored the size of the mutilating and flesh-gripping jaws of carnivorous plants at the sight of a mere insect. A sense of depression hovered over me. I felt like a gone astray fish trapped within steel net, pulling my weight down, suffocating me, and cutting off all signs of vitality from my view. I was not alone, for it was in here that I experienced such an intense feeling of revulsion and disgust. It was here that my eyes reflected the bodies and faces of all the deceased that surrounded me, as my ears were made to bleed by the piercing silence that infected the air.  It was as if this scene served as a punishment for the sins of the world, a scene intended to plague the soul and the eyes of mortals like leprosy, causing a deformity of one’s sense of self at the sight of this atrocious crime. A crime that not even creatures with a morbid fascination for death could be able to withstand. Glass hailed from the sky violently in the form of rain. The clouds cried feeling lost in the flaming sky, for never before had they seen such a bloodcurdling sight. And their tears gently poured on to the concrete floor mixing with the wine red blood. And oh, it was so horrible to withstand this macabre thing lying on the floor. My lungs shook vigorously, paralyzing my entire body at the sight of oxidized chunks of the fatty cold flesh of a brain avulsed victim. Pieces of brain were splattered onto the floor as strands of elastic flesh fell over onto his deformed face, mouth half opened as if he had sighted with intense agony the last few seconds before his death. My eyes struggled to stay open at the sight of his glossy, blood-spattered lifeless eyes as they stared back into mine like a tunnel-deep passageway into the world of the dead.
